基于社会对自给自足实验室的信任，以社会公开参与为监督方法而成立。
通过第三方的资源和非营利性角度，对消费者、销售者和生产者及原料采集者的产品的质量信誉进行担保和呼吁。经过“中国自给自足实验室 天然原料认证体系”授权的产品，会在产品包装印制“中国自给自足实验室 监制”（如图1）以及相应的认证号码，对应的号码可在“中国自给自足实验室”网站（http://www.anotherland.org/lab/id）找到相应的原料成分含量分析检测数据，此检测工作将完全由社会资助，每季度工作人员将前往原料产地实地观测拍摄能反映生产者和生产环境及原料的状态的图片、视频，上传到网站，会不定期的对市面上的认证产品进行抽样检测。

“中国自给自足实验室 天然原料认证体系”的授权产品范围包括：食品、包装用品、服饰箱包、日用品、工具、建筑等，来自天然的植物、矿物原料经过可持续加工方式出产的生活必需品。中国自给自足实验室 是民间非营利性机构，由唐冠华先生及爱人邢振女士创办。设立“天然原料认证体系”其本意在于：探索运用非官方资源，每个人能自己保障自己的生活质量。
