Tang Guanhua

As the German artist Joseph Beuys pointed out in the discussion of social sculpture: "re-inventor of himself and his surroundings." Tang Guanhua has repeatedly practiced from the bottom up, and has been practicing self-sufficient independent life in the mountains for ten years ever since he was a teenager. He went on to assist marginalized social groups to rediscover their values, published books for homeless people, transgenders, and rag-pickers, in order to build interactions between their memories and experiences with the main values of society, and to inspire consensus of life among people at the bottom. Through his integration of cross-disciplinary resources, technology innovation of new media and face-to-face communication, the diversified lifestyles and sustainable living of disadvantaged groups have gradually been brought from imagination to reality
